General Information on Day Tours

As these are group tours we will be moving at the speed of the slowest member your patience is required. Unfortunately because of the nature of the terrain and restrictions on access, most of our itineraries may prove difficult for less mobile people. If you let us know we will be happy to give you more information about each particular tour.

Suitable footwear and weatherproof clothing are essential as these visits will take place regardless of the weather (unless it is exceptionally bad weather when we reserve the right to cancel or postpone all or part of the tour at short notice).

We will be spending time walking and exploring so you are advised to bring your own packed lunches as we cannot guarantee we will be close to eating facilities at any given time. On the urban walking tours there will usually be opportunities to buy tea, coffee and food at a range of venues. Although we aim to pack a lot into each day there will be plenty of breaks and rests. We really do not wish to exhaust you!

When you book you will be informed of the place of departure. Should the tour be cancelled by us we will refund your booking fee in full.
